Mile High Productions was created to bring the aviator's view closer to the aviation action.

Since the unfortunate actions of 9-11 access the airlines has all but dried up, and visits to the flight deck are now a thing of the past. These new realities were our driving force behind our Passenger Series. We wanted to connect you, the viewer, to what happens behind the scenes, what it takes to get an airplane full of passengers to their destination.

Arnold Klappe

A licensed ultralight pilot, Arnold Klappe grew up a child of the local aerodrome as the son of two private pilots. Arnold has been around airplanes from an early age spending summers at airshows, fly-ins, and seeing a large part of the continent in the family Cherokee.

After his relocation the Vancouver area in the late eighties, Arnold organized and became the founding President of the Eagle-eyed observers of YVR, Vancouver’s first and only organized non-profit aviation spotting club with over 40 members at its peak. He has traveled around the world several times photographing aircraft and has been a featured writer and photographer for Africa Travel magazine, Air Highway Journal, Western Airport News, Aviation News Journal, and was a featured columnist/photographer in YVR’s Skytalk and he has also been featured on CBC radio. His Photography was used as Abbotsford International Airport’s logo. He has also been commissioned to shoot for Peerless Aviation Sales, Atec Aviation, Pegasus Aeroclean, Aviation World, YVR Sky Talk.

Arnold Klappe is owner of numerous aviation related companies. His Mile High brand, features firstly, Mile High Customs, a company specializing in custom aviation gifts. Secondly, Mile High Advisor, a company designed to find the people or answers you need revolving around the aviation industry. Arnold has advised companies such as, Preferred Wing Design, Air Highway Journal, Ukit Carvings, Pegasus Aero Clean, Pelesys Learning Systems, Peerless Aviation, and countless other individual people, companies and organizations in the aviation industry. He also created and moderates the popular Mile High Aviation Forum. Arnold is also co-founder of the YVR Collectibles show, and hosts Canada’s largest aviation collectibles show yearly and a partner in ALM Custom Carvings, a custom Aircraft modeling company.

Arnold’s extensive work experence has allowed him to meet the aviation industries movers and shakers and stay in touch with the goings on of the aviation industry.

Tawnya Sutherland
Director of Marketing

Since 1997, Tawnya has operated, Mediamage Business Solutions, a virtual consulting business focused on providing Internet Marketing services to help her clients turn clicks into cash. Tawnya is a Certified Internet Marketing Business Strategist and Multimedia Usability Specialist graduating in 2002 from the University of British Columbia.

A long-time active member of the VA community, Sutherland founded The Virtual Assistant Networking Forum, the largest online global meeting place for successful and aspiring Virtual Assistants. Tawnya is also the creator of the internationally acclaimed Virtual Business Startup System—which provides all the information, tools, and resources for a VA to build a viable virtual assistance business in just 30 days. Tawnya has recently ventured into online radio and hosts a weekly radio show called the VA Talk Show to help educate, inform and entertain the virtual assistance industry.

Tawnya is co-owner of ALM Custom Carvings, a custom Aircraft modeling company, recreating aircraft in top quality hand carved, and hand painted mahogany and a partner in the YVR Collectibles show.
